PHAENOMENALE 2020 – REIZBAR

A pilot project at the Nordkopf in cooperation with the Haltestelle, the Städtische Galerie Wolfsburg and the creative professionals:

The REIZ-BAR pop-up project in the bus stop is an example of the endeavor to establish new participatory cultural offers in urban space.

 

The PopUp complements the classic offer of museums and cultural associations, as it is implemented for a limited time at different locations in the urban space. The flexibility in terms of time, location and media technology offers the great advantage of being able to address and activate very different target groups in a diverse urban society more precisely.

 

Creative workers from urban society present their personal civic commitment and allow different population groups to participate.

Through the direct exchange with the cultural producers a stronger identification, inspiration and motivation for one's own actions is achieved and at the same time the establishment of new communities / social groups is made possible.

 

Thinking and acting in new contexts and with the expanded perspective of a rapidly transforming society should help to strengthen the social responsibility of the individual and the community through the exchange and creation of individual spaces of experience. In addition,

the PopUp is intended to invite people to reflect and raise awareness of their own interaction and media consumption. If young people are able to form their own opinions, they are, for example, no longer so susceptible to opinions and attitudes that threaten democracy.

 

The joint project PopUp shows, for example, that in addition to the economic, social and ecological, the fourth field of action for the development of a sustainable urban culture of tomorrow is culture.
